Lewis and Clark expedition Bi-Centennial

Nearly two hundred years ago, Lewis and Clark set out to explore the West.

In modern day time, traveling what is left of the Lewis Clark Trail is a wonder to behold.

Who hasn't heard of Lewis and Clark?
They were like family.
We read about them in school. We eagerly awaited to hear all about their incredible expedition.

Who doesn't admire Sacajawea and her efforts?
If not for her and all of the Indian people, Lewis and Clark would have surely died.

When you follow along their pathways you can relate to the hardships they endured.
Much of the region is thick Forrest, tall mountains and swift rivers. Just the rugged areas would have stopped a lot of people, but they had a job to do.
As you recall, they were sent by the President of the United States and like all true Americans, they fulfilled this job with vigor and self sacrifice.
Remember: On the Lewis and Clark expedition Anniversary and Bi-Centennial and everyday, let us reflect on the efforts of Lewis, Clark, and Sacajawea, and thank them and thank God for them too.
